My story, in short
An Egyptian physician who believes healthcare's biggest gap today isn't technical capability. It's implementation.
I'm Abdallah Wajih, a physician. I graduated from Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Medicine in Assiut in December 2023, then spent two internship years at Al-Azhar University Hospital rotating through internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and emergency medicine.
Today I work as a physician and manager of a primary healthcare unit under the Ministry of Health and Population, leading the team and daily operations of a facility that serves a whole community. There I see, every day, the distance between what medicine knows and what actually reaches the patient.
Alongside medicine I build digital products. It started with Tabaa, against digital addiction, then Hala, a drug reference for Egyptian doctors, and other products on the web, Android, Windows and Telegram.
What ties it all together is digital health and health informatics: clinical decision support, data-exchange standards like HL7 and FHIR, and clinical coding, which I learn by doing.
